Privacy
KeySim is private by design. Your shortkeys, the text you type, and your library file stay on your PC and are never transmitted.
What leaves your PC — and only then
- Activation. When you activate a license, KeySim sends your license key and an anonymous machine identifier to keysim.io to bind the license. Nothing else.
- Anonymous trial statistics (opt-out). During the trial, when you open the license screen, KeySim may send one anonymous event — a random install id, the trial length it chose, the app version and date. It never includes your shortkeys, your name, or anything identifying your PC. You can turn it off in Settings → License.
- Nothing at startup or in the background. KeySim makes no network connections while it runs; the above happen only on explicit, user-initiated actions.
Website visits
When you visit keysim.io or download a file, our own server records the time, the page or file requested,
the referring page, your IP address and browser type — standard first-party server logs used only to count
visits and downloads. No cookies, no third-party analytics, and this never involves the KeySim app itself.
What we never collect
Keystrokes, shortkey content, clipboard contents, or any personal data. KeySim contains no advertising or third-party trackers.
